Import from Albridge

The Albridge import is a positional import. You enter your Firm ID and Client Information, and then Morningstar Office passes the Partner User ID (Advisor Login e-mail), Firm ID, and Client information to Albridge. If the user verification is successful, Albridge will send the Client’s accounts, which will go directly in the import blotter. You can only import one Client’s data at a time. Note: When processed by Albridge, if the Partner User ID field displays a string of numbers and letters, it is not the correct login to connect with Albridge and needs to be updated by your home office.

Note: The e-mail login on file at Albridge must be identical to your Morningstar Office login, and it is case sensitive. Also, to do the Albridge import, you need to be logged in to Morningstar Office as the main Advisor (or whichever login is set up at Albridge). Impersonating the main login will not work (i.e. logging in as the assistant).

  1. Open Morningstar Office. From the top menu bar, click Import. The Import area opens in a separate window.

  2. In the Interface Name column, double-click Albridge to open the import options screen.

  3. Enter the Firm ID provided by Albridge.

Note: For initial setup, contact Albridge at customerservice@albridge.com or 800 520-7810 to obtain your Firm ID. You will need to provide them with your Morningstar Office login name (e-mail address). The login match is case sensitive.

The Firm ID is usually 3 numbers; however, sometimes there is a "0" in front of the three numbers. If the Firm ID is not working, try adding the 0.

  1. Enter the Investor (client's) First and Last Name (at least two letters of each) or a Social Security Number/Tax ID. Note: You can enter in just the Investor Last Name, e.g. Smith, and it will pull all accounts for anyone that has the last name Smith.

  2. When you click Import, the system will retrieve your client’s data from Albridge and transfer to the import blotters where you can review prior to posting to the client’s account.
