This is the sum of the current YTD and prior fiscal YTD figures less the prior YTD figure. This method of calculation is preferred to adding a company’s financials over the most-recent four quarters to adjust for any restatements in previously stated financials. In situations where a company changes its fiscal year-end, the sum of the financials over the four most-recent quarters is used.
