Import Sources Screen Options

The table below describes the menu options from the Import Sources page.

 

Menu Option

Description

Action: Edit Import Interfaces

This allows you to select only the interfaces and/or custodians from which you will be importing. There are more than 60 available interfaces to choose from.

Action: Initialize Positions

This tool creates deliver-ins to establish the initial position when you first start importing.

Click here for more information.

Action: Refresh Local Database

This clears the import blotter.

Action: View Blotter

This function allows you to view an import blotter that hasn’t been posted yet, or go back into the blotter of your last import.

Corporate Action Warehouse

This tool allows you to complete mergers, spin-offs, and splits using a wizard that will generate transactions to accurately reflect the corporate action and cost basis.

Edit Definition Master

This takes you to the Definition Master, which allows you to define securities, security types, asset classes, countries, currencies, exchanges, sectors, industries, brokerages, bond insurers, and foreign currency exchanges. You can define these entities directly into a grid. (For securities and security types you may also use a wizard.) There is also access to Client/Account Mapping and Import Exclusions.

Holdings Transfer Wizard

The Holdings Transfer Wizard is designed to help you transfer holdings and the cost basis associated with that holding from one account to another.

Import

Clicking this, after selecting a custodian, starts the Import process.

Trade Blotter

You can view trades that were generated through the rebalancing process.

View Post History

Shows a record of your post history for each custodian/interface. You can view information from the post or remove the post.
